The Respiratory Society of Serbia (RSS) is an organization dedicated to bringing together physicians, healthcare professionals, scientists, and other experts working in respiratory medicine.
With a growing membership of over 140 doctors,we focus on improving the management of respiratory diseases and establishing high standards for respiratory medicine in Serbia.
Aims of the RSS
To enhance respiratory health through the prevention, control, and management of respiratory diseases, as well as to promote education and support for scientific research related to all aspects of respiratory health.
To promote basic, epidemiological, translational, and clinical research in the field of respiratory medicine
To collect, evaluate, and distribute scientific information regarding all aspects of lung health and disease.
To organize congresses, conferences, symposia, seminars, scientific meetings, research projects, exhibitions, and other clinical, scientific, educational, and promotional events, both in-person and online.
To produce publications, edit and peer-review journals, newsletters, and other media designed to promote, support, or disseminate research and educational work in respiratory medicine.
To support and encourage training and research programs.
To advocate for and promote continuing education in respiratory medicine.
To collaborate with other national and international organizations that have similar goals or functions.
To take appropriate actions to protect the interests of our members.
To cooperate with organizations that represent patients with respiratory diseases.
