I obtained my medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Belgrade in 2003. I also hold an MSc degree in the multidisciplinary field of State Management and Humanitarian Affairs, and I completed training in Health Diplomacy in 2006. My journey in pulmonology began that same year, and I have since become a specialist in internal medicine (2013) and a subspecialist in pulmonology (2021). In 2018, I earned my PhD in pulmonology, and in 2019, I was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Medicine.
Over the years, I have held several leadership positions, including Head of the Severe Asthma Department for three years and Head of the Outpatient Clinic for Chronic Respiratory Diseases. Currently, I serve as the Associate Director at the Clinic for Pulmonology, University Clinical Center of Serbia, and the Head of the Department for Chronic Respiratory Diseases.
My primary areas of interest and expertise are chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, interstitial lung diseases, and pulmonary vascular diseases. I have authored and co-authored research papers, as well as conducted various research projects in these fields. Additionally, I have served as a consultant and author for the development of national guidelines for specific respiratory diseases.
